Homework is always optional. Light practice can be provided upon request to reinforce what was learned in class.
Life happens. If your child joins late, they can still attend the remaining class.

Yes. Shy students receive time, prompts, and encouragement. Talkative students can use their energy for storytelling, discussion, and role-play. Students who struggle to focus may benefit from varied visuals, questions, activities, games, and clear tasks.
Teacher Grant is happy to discuss reasonable accommodations with the family. For a group class, the student should be at a compatible English level with the other students. One-on-one lessons allow more individualized accommodations and arrangements based on the learner's needs.
Teacher Grant helps students move beyond "I don't know" with prompts, choices, examples, sentence starters, and thinking time. The goal is to help the student discover and express an answer they understand.

Many students do not get enough speaking practice in traditional school settings. Teacher Grant gives students opportunities to express ideas, practice real communication, improve listening, build longer answers, and feel more comfortable using English.
Translation may be used when necessary, especially for important instructions or difficult ideas. However, translating every sentence can prevent students from learning through context, visuals, examples, and communication.
Mistakes are a normal part of learning. Teacher Grant corrects useful mistakes without making students afraid to speak. One-word answers are sometimes fine, but longer answers help students practice grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and clear expression.
There is no guaranteed timeline. Progress depends on starting level, attendance, participation, practice outside class, motivation, confidence, lesson frequency, and individual learning pace. Improvement is usually gradual.

Serious behavior problems have been very uncommon during his eight years of online teaching; students generally enjoy attending and participating.
Yes. Teacher Grant normally takes screenshots of what the class studies. Parents may also request lesson notes or copies of the learning materials used in class.
Fluency develops over time through regular exposure, practice, communication, and continued learning. Teacher Grant can help students build skills and confidence, but fluency is not instant and should not be guaranteed.
Learning speed is different for every student. Parents can encourage review, consistent attendance, and opportunities to use English. Teacher Grant can also review whether lesson frequency, materials, group placement, or learning approach should be adjusted.
Students should try, participate, listen, communicate, behave respectfully, and understand that mistakes are normal. Parents should share goals or concerns, help provide a suitable learning space, limit background interruptions, and allow the child time to answer independently.

The class will continue. Teacher Grant may add students later until the group reaches the class size the families originally joined and agreed to. For example, a group planned for four or five students may temporarily run with two students, but additional students can join later. Families who want the class to remain limited to two students can discuss a separate two-student tuition arrangement with Teacher Grant.
In small paid groups, Teacher Grant tries to place students with reasonably compatible levels. If there is a major difference, he may recommend a better class. In the free open class, students of different levels may join and activities are adapted as much as possible.
Placement may consider age, English level, speaking confidence, personality, learning goals, schedule, and existing group dynamics.
Yes, subject to Teacher Grant's availability. Any usable prepaid balance may be applied toward private tuition according to the value of remaining classes. Teacher Grant will discuss the details directly.
Yes. A student may study one-on-one and also join a suitable group class, or move between formats when space and scheduling allow. Teacher Grant will help the family choose an arrangement that fits the child.
A family may ask to leave or change a group at any time, but the available arrangement depends on the circumstances and whether another group has space. A student may also move to private one-on-one lessons. Please contact Teacher Grant as early as possible so he can review the options.
A full group has no spots available. Teacher Grant can discuss one of the currently open groups or a new class within his listed booking windows. Do not assume an extra place can be added to a full class.
Lessons are commonly 25 minutes or 50 minutes. Shorter or longer arrangements may sometimes be available depending on the student's needs, the family's request, and Teacher Grant's schedule.
There is no single schedule for everyone. Lesson frequency depends on the student's age, level, goals, available time, attention span, and opportunities to practice outside class.
Teacher Grant teaches Monday through Saturday. No classes are available on Sundays. Specific availability must be confirmed because the schedule can change.

Families should communicate holiday plans in advance. For group classes, holiday breaks can be agreed with the group. If tuition has already been paid, the affected classes can be credited toward the next tuition period. When arranged before payment, the agreed break may instead be omitted from that tuition period.
Please give Teacher Grant more than four hours' notice when a student will be absent. For a group class, a short individual call can be arranged. For a one-on-one class, the missed lesson will be credited toward the next tuition period. Planned absences of a week or more can also be accommodated with credits when discussed in advance.
If Teacher Grant must cancel a class, the class will be credited toward the family's next tuition period.
Holiday schedules are assessed with the participating families. A group may agree to hold class or take the holiday off. When a prepaid class is not held, a credit can be applied to the next tuition period; when agreed before payment, the holiday may be omitted from the tuition.

Yes. A student may attend while traveling or use another suitable device, provided the internet connection, Zoom, camera, microphone, and learning environment allow the child to participate.
Please test the link before class when possible. Double-check the link, try another device, and message Teacher Grant or the paid class group if the problem continues. Teacher Grant will help as soon as he sees the message and will do his best to get the student into class.
Yes. Parents are welcome to observe as long as it does not interrupt the lesson. Some children may feel extra pressure when a parent stays close, so Teacher Grant may suggest giving the child space when that would help them participate more naturally.
